This term our focus is on how we can be capable citizens. In order to launch this the learners participated in a capable iExplore on Being Sunsmart where they collaboratively explored and brainstormed ideas about what being sunsmart is all about. The lasting understanding from this iExplore was that we can be connected in a variety of ways and display these connections by predicting and processing what the steps are in beings sunsmart. It was great to see the learners supporting each other in being curious and deciding how to be sunsmart and hear them describe their ways of being sunsmart as an example of how we can recall and connect with others. All of the learners displayed their capabilities by working with a buddy on their own sunsmart presentation. The presentations can be found on the learner’s Google Drive.

hip hop dance
The Hip Hop dance group is expert at dancing.There was a girl called Moana! I felt awesome.We did a dance challenge with adults and the bubblegum. Darrius won the dance challenge! He was the smallest one there and he did the best dance!

My Little Pony
In a sparkly land where the ponies lived there was a big problem .The problem was there were go and slime all over the place.Fluttershy was stuck in a lump of goo.She did not like it.Everyone in the land got stuck in slime and goo.Thereafter,a pony sang a song,to the slime and goo suddenly,the slime and goo started to melt.Everyone stopped,and cheered at the pony who sang the song.Yay!Everyone cheered,we saved the land!Everyone cheered happily.

During iExperience learners had the opportunity to choose what activity they would like to participate in, based around Art. Ella chose to learn more about self portrait drawings. She had to listen carefully to instructions as they were given step by step. Ella showed her capability by following explicit instructions and looking carefully at her drawing and making sure that what she saw in the mirror matched what she had on her paper. Ella was very particular about the detail included in her drawings. Ella was collaborative by working well with others around her and helping others who needed it. She showed connectedness by looking at other examples that were shared on the screen and use it to help further his learning. She also voiced that she had done self portrait drawings last year.
